2012 Program
General Information
The 2012 edition of York Street ULTIMATE March Break Day Camp will take place at York Street Public School from Monday, March 12th to Friday, March 16th, 2012, between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
- York Street Public School is located at 310 York Street, Ottawa, ON, K1N 5V3.
- Yard supervision begins at 8:40 AM. All children need to be at York Street School prior to 9:00 AM.
- Participants will need to bring their lunch and comfortable day shoes. Snacks will be provided!
- Participation in all camp activities, as well as daily snacks, are offered free of charge.
Registration
Pre-Registration will be open from February 8 - 24, 2012 for all children:
- Between the ages of 6 and 12, and,
- Residing within the boundaries of Lowertown, Ottawa, and
- Comfortable with an English-speaking environment
Pre-Registration will be available online, as well as in-person at York Street Public School’s Afterschool CLUB 310, which runs Monday to Friday from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
- Automated registration by phone: call 613-627-0699, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Only 35 spots are available, and will be filled based on availability.
Pre-Registration does not guarantee a spot in the camp, as spots will be distributed based on availability. If a child is selected for a spot, the parents will be contacted by March 2, 2011.

2012 Daily Program Descriptions (click to expand)
Welcome to camp! Start your day off with a delicious pancake breakfast. Build an igloo fort with your newest friends, then get ready to get messy with our friends from Radical Science!
Board the bus! For our first field trip, we take you back into Canada’s history at the Museum of Civilization. Go play with foreign friends at the Children’s Museum and then get ready to show us your baking skills!
Do alligators really eat chicken? Join them for lunch at Little Rays Reptile Zoo and find out! While you’re there, say hello to 200 other creepy reptilia including spiders, snakes, and turtles! Did I mention the French Toast for snack?
Travel into space at Cosmic Adventures and challenge your leader to a video game duel. Our friends from Space Sim will also drop by with their inflatable planetarium and leave you starry eyed.
Our last day at camp is full of surprises! Start off with some grilled-cheese and then rock out to some junk jam with Junkyard Symphony! Grab some prizes, and away you go!
